Talking Stars #43 – Director Focus: ‘Ron Howard’

We may have Spoilers. Ron Howard might not be the first name you think when you hear the television show Happy Days but he is by far the most successful full time cast member from that show.

While I haven’t seen many episodes of the iconic show Ron Howard came from that show stepped behind the camera to win an Oscar. Ron Howard has taken on many different genres of film, some were a success others were not. Today we are going to talk about 4 of our favourites before looking at the ones we didn’t like or have yet to see.

Talking Stars #38 – Children Of Men

The following may contain spoilers.

This week on Talking Stars, it was time for another round of Film Club. Picking the film to be discussed today was Kira, your hostess for the show. She chose Children Of Men, the 2006 sci-fi drama set in 2027 where women have somehow become infertile, yet one has miraculously become pregnant.

Considering she says she is not a fan of science-fiction,  Kira had plenty to say about the film. Joining her was Darren and Damien as usual. They chatted about the performances, storyline and the reasons why Kira chose this as her first pick for Film Club.

After discussing Children Of Men,  a short quiz followed to see how well everyone had paid attention to the film when they watched it.

As always, everyone shared what they’ve been watching recently after the show.
